It would be very useful when debugging if the amount of memory usage as shown in the debugger graph could be exposed to scripts using a new read only variable such as memory_use_bytes in a similar way to fps_real - which I am also tracking and profiling to generate in-depth fps profiles for different levels in my game so that I can see when I make optimisations how those affect different levels in my game.
Ideally I want to create memory profiles for my different levels so that again, if I make optimisations focussed on memory usage, that I can see what affect this has on my levels.
At the moment I cannot see how the memory usage varies across a large playing session in my level and compare that to the next time I run that for the same level after making some tweaks.
Any chance that this could be done, the memory being used value is already being captured and displayed in the debugger graph so it would be great if this could be exposed to scripts as well.
