Seems that all assets have their "exists" function, to ensure that it exists when having id (sprite_exists, audio_exists, path_exists, script_exists, room_exists, object_exists, and even... timeline_exists ), except tilemap_exists and shader_exists .
So, as I didn't found this on bugs.yoyogames.com, and googling about it also returns no results, seems it wasn't yet reported. I know that I can use asset_get_type, but this require to have tilemap name as string, and can be done using id (as they overlaps for each resource from 0...n).
Could those be added ?
