Honestly, GameMaker Studio 2 currently offers a very poor experience for an audio professional.
I would really like to suggest and recommend to you guys to improve the Sound Editor (which is buggy, sometimes it only cuts sounds and plays strange things while in the game the sounds playback nicely as expected...
And please, improve the Sound Mixer!
In my honest opinion currently that "thing" cannot even be called Mixer and I explain you why I think this:
- It doesn't display Output Channel Volume Levels and Master Channel Volume Level which are very important to actually see if the audio is clipping.
- It doesn't display any number (neither float nor decibel).
- It's not possible to pan sounds.
I hope you guys really consider improving that part which is really the weak part of the whole chain.

Last thing, with the premise that this is just my personal opinion:
I personally don't like the fact you still keep the "Sound" or "Sounds" words since you guys deprecated all the sound_* functions in favor of the audio_* ones and you guys did absolutely well by doing so!
