I have this Sequence where I'm flipping an instance horizontally:
But in-game, it is being flipped vertically:
And as you can see, the scale still remains "1, 1", so it seems like the scaling from the sequence isn't applied to the image_xscale and image_yscale variables of an instance? How is scaling handled, then?

The Sequence is "SequenceMovingChest" and the object in question is "oBaddie".
To play the sequence in-game, you simply walk up to the lever that is a bit to the north from where you spawn, and hit E.
