How to build for macOS YYC using Xcode 10 with GMS2 2.1.5

With the release of Xcode 10, Apple have changed how their build process works and due to this we've had to investigate a workaround which allows users to build for YYC when using the current 2.1.5 - this will be fixed in the compiler for 2.2.0.

Changing Your Project Template

Attached is a newer version of the template project which has the required changes to allow you to build for macOS YYC using Xcode 10 already made in it.

For Windows GMS2 users, if you open an instance of Explorer and navigate to %programdata%\GameMakerStudio2\Cache\runtimes

For macOS GMS2 users, if you open an instance of Finder and navigate to /Users/Shared/GameMakerStudio2/Cache/runtimes

In the relevant location above, pick the runtime which you are currently using and navigate inside the runtime's folder to yyc\mac\TemplateProject\${YYXCodeProjName}.xcodeproj. Create a backup of the original project.pbxproj and then replace the project.pbxproj with the one attached to this FAQ.

Once this has done you'll be able to build for macOS YYC using Xcode 10.
