No support for Windows Zoom / DPI scaling

The UI system for Studio was made in such a way as to maintain support with older GameMaker versions and as such we are unable to support DPI scaling in Windows to dynamically resize UI elements. If you have this set to anything other than the default of 100%, you will see that Preferences and Global Game Settings text boxes, for example, are too large and labels will be cut off or misaligned.

Unfortunately, we are unable to change this before 2.x, which will have DPI scaling support, so we will have to ask that you stick with 100% or enable an exception for Studio when you are using it. More information on this issue and how to achieve the workaround properly can be found in this Microsoft FAQ:
