When you purchase from our website you are entitled to getting Steam key(s) for what you have purchased.
After doing this, you should get a "Add to Steam" button next to your licences.
In GameMaker Studio 2 this will get added to your Steam library straight away and you'll be able to get using the software.
With GameMaker: Studio 1.X, clicking this button will present you with one of a few different pop-out windows, depending on whether or not you have previously redeemed your Steam keys.
If you have yet to redeem your Steam keys prior to 1st March 2017, you will see this:
Clicking on the "Add to Steam" button will automatically add your licence to your Steam account and the next time you log in to Steam it shall appear.
If you have already got certain licences/Modules on Steam then it will show up as "Already owned by <Steam Account>".
Note: Please double check the Steam account linked to your account as this cannot be undone after this point. You will not receive additional Steam keys for anything you already own on the current Steam account.
If you had redeemed your Steam keys prior to 1st March 2017 then you will see this:
With this, if you haven't done so already, you will need to add the Steam keys manually.
If you wish to get your YoYo/Steam keys via email you can still use the licence recovery field at the bottom of the YoYo Account.
You will then receive an email from us with your licence keys in a table and on the right hand side you will see your Steam key(s).
Note: Licence recovery will not work with GameMaker Studio 2 or with GameMaker: Studio 1.X purchased after 1st March 2017.
Note: If you have not created an account or added any licences to your account then you will need to do this. We do not add your licence keys to your account currently.
