If you have just bought a new licence, but this is not reflected within the software, then it may be that you need to refresh your licence from within GameMaker Studio 2.
Please note that if GMS2 was already running when you bought the new licence, then you will always need to restart GMS2 so it can refresh your licence automatically. Usually, this will be all you need to do.
However, if this automatic refresh still fails to find your updated licence, first of all confirm your computer is connected to the internet okay and then continue with this guide to fully reset your licensing information.
Inside GMS2, on the menubar at the top, click File > Logout:
This will ask you to confirm you wish to log out your current user. GMS2 will then restart itself and prompt you to log in once more.
Note that we showed Windows in the screenshot above, but all versions of GMS2 are the same commands.
You should now find that your licence has been "fixed" - if it has not, then please see our Internet permissions guide, as there may be a firewall or other permissions issue blocking the updated files from being saved on your machine.
